VISSION AND MISSION

1. Vision 

 

The Vision of a Grama Panchayat is the grand dream about what the area should become in the future.

Objective: The long-term goal of becoming a model village that has achieved comprehensive and sustainable development, ensuring a better life for all citizens.

Examples:

  • Complete sanitation and a healthy living environment.
  • A nature-friendly village that maintains greenery and abundant water resources.
  • A society free of poverty and one that ensures education, health, and employment for everyone.

 

2. Mission 

 

The Mission clarifies what the Panchayat is currently doing or how it operates to reach the Vision.

Objective: To define the main goals and operational methods for making the Vision a reality.

Examples:

  • Planning with Public Participation: Preparing development projects by understanding the needs of the people through Ward Sabhas and Grama Sabhas (Village Assemblies).
  • Efficient Services: Providing Panchayat services quickly to the public through online systems and transparent administration.
  • Infrastructure Development: Improving the standards of roads, drinking water, electricity, public educational institutions, and health centers.
  • Sustainable Livelihood: Ensuring local economic growth by promoting agriculture and small-scale industries.

In summary, the Vision (Where to reach) provides a destination; the Mission (How to get there) suggests the operational path to reach that goal.
